CLASSIC SIMPLICITY, PINK GIRLS ROOM {WEDNESDAY DESIGN INSPIRATION}
This is my 3 year old Mya's bedroom. We love all things pink, chic, and girly in our house. As I've mentioned before, I always believe that less is more when it comes to Interior Design. A good designer knows when, where, and how to edit out unnecessary items in a room. I kept my colors very simple, and repetitive which brings in a sense of cohesiveness. The striped wall could have overwhelmed the room, but by using muted tones and simple accessories, it works. The soft pink drape also works well to soften the wall. I am a big fan of accent walls. and striping the entire room would have been a little daunting, so I chose to only accent the focal wall. I also chose these simple, classic Pottery Barn Kids quilts which compliment the room very nicely. I think they are the perfect touch!
I am a huge fan of all things white! I love love love all the simple white furniture in this room. I feel that white is such a timeless color. It is so fresh, clean, and it goes great with almost any style. The bunk beds in this room are from Pottery Barn Kids as well. This is the smallest room in the house, yet it could comfortable sleep 3 little ones! At this point, it only sleeps one spoiled 3 year old, but it's great when cousins come over.
This is actually my dresser from when I was a baby. With a little sanding, spray paint, and new handles, it's good as new! One of my favorite pieces in the room is this fabulous Ikea pendant light. It brings a perfect modern punch to the room. I hand painted the letters for Mya's name, which tie in great with the striped frames that I painted as well. I am honestly not much of a crafter, but these simple letters and painted frames where so easy, and hard to mess up.
I hope you've enjoyed this weeks inspiration room!

MY FAMILY | SOUTHERN UTAH CHILD AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
As a photographer, I am always working on other people's photos, and it seems like my families photos are always at the bottom of my list. I have been hard at work on a new photo display wall in my home, so I had to do some new family photos to put in my new frames! It's a little tricky taking photos of myself, but thank goodness I have an awesome MIL who came and snapped the pictures once we where ready. I love my sweet hubby and gorgeous little girls, and I will cherish these photos forever!
Thanks again to Chique Showoffs for the FABULOUS headband!

MODERN DINNING WITH A TOUCH OF VINTAGE {WEDNESDAY DESIGN INSPIRATION}
This would have to be one of my favorite rooms in the house, but there's a good chance I say that about every room! When we built this house, one of my top priorities was to have a formal room so my house looks presentable when people first come in my home.
I change this room for each season, so here is my bright Spring/Summer Dinning and Entry...
My Entry has a subtle, yet elegant damask wallpaper application. The ceilings in this area are very tall, so I wanted something that would bring the eye up, which this does very well. One of my favorite finds are these adorable bird plates. They are from Pier One, and I feel that they tie in some of the vintage items that I have incorporated into the space. The blue chair and chalk board frames where great yard sale finds that I spray painted with high gloss spray paint.
Thank you Pottery Barn for the fabulous, elegant silk Drapes, the oversize fork and spoon, and the large candle sconce. Pottery Barn has such timeless pieces that can go great in many different styled rooms. I needed a pop of color, so I used the extra upholstery fabric from the chair and made some fun wall hangings, and of course topped of the room with photos of my daughters. All of my large basic pieces are very timeless and simple, which makes it possible for me to change my dinning room for each season!
